ACT Reviews 2022-2023 Season

ALL THAT JAZZ Director / Choreographer: Jackie Eade Musical Director: John G Barry St Dunstan’s A,O,& D.S. The programmes subtitle for the revue was, “Celebrating the Best of Jazz and Swing Musicals on Broadway”. Ten iconic musicals were presented in a nightclub atmosphere with table seating. A lot of thought and creativity had gone into the imagery of the night’s entertainment, for the audience were transported into this twilight club-world which created the atmosphere and the way the music was to be presented.

The band of quality musicians was on stage adding to the overall quality of presentation. A couple of tables and chairs down stage left and right brought the stage into the auditorium. The musicians, and the company, were dressed in dark hue allowing the singers equal status. The lighting and sound plots by Phil Nicholls and Charlie Ivison gave the revue that necessary drama.
