In act two we meet Edwin the Sergeant of Police and his cowardly bunch of P.C.s. Dave Edwards, as the Sergeant, held sway telling why a policeman’s lot is not a happy one. The attack on Tremorden Castle is thwarted and the pirates, who are noblemen who have gone wrong, pledge to return to their former ranks. This was a gleeful entertaining revival of a very model of exemplary musical theatre.
