ACT Reviews 2022-2023 Season
A personal note, we did miss my favourite ‘show image’ of ‘Oliver’ – the final silhouettes of Dodger and Fagin dancing off into the smog together – but they did share a moment atop London Bridge – next to the body of Bill Sykes which had just been left there. A very special mention must be made to the souvenir programme, compiled by Beverley Eaves and Stewart Bowden. It is possibly the highest quality amateur theatre programme I’ve ever seen – and puts some professional programmes to shame too. With photographs of the principals on stage and in costume taken at the Dress rehearsal, the programmes were finalised and printed overnight ready for the public. A thoroughly sterling job. I thank everyone at NMAODS for a thoroughly enjoyable night out at the theatre and ‘consider yourself[ves]’ proud at an excellent production. I hope to ‘Be Back Soon’ for “more!”
